Thank you for visiting the Ann Arbor Chess Club. The Chess Club is
centrally located on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Ann Arbor is
the home of the University of Michigan and some of the most unique stores, restaurants,
and people in the mid-west.We make every effort to foster chess playing in our local community
and schools. We strongly believe that chess is an intellectual
challenge from which one can learn creativity, self-restraint, and the
value of determination. We welcome visitors to the club during normal
business hours and encourage you to come and play with some of
Michigan's toughest competition including IM
Ben Finegold (2643 USCF), Jennifer Skidmore (29th Strongest Woman in the US), Dennis Seawald, and many other local talents. If you are interested in learning
more about chess, we offer private instruction with
